Holiday in Honolulu

We shot this colourful video in and around Honolulu, Hawaii on our recent holiday staying at the Waikiki Circle Hotel, right on Waikiki Beach. It features lots of beach scenes, some Hawaiian culture and beautiful sunsets. Enjoy!

Viva Las Vegas!

In September we spent six days and nights enjoying the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. This video shows some of the highlights of our trip into the 'gambling capital of the western world.

Last year we holidayed in Macau (southern China) and it was interesting comparing the two gambling cultures on opposite sides of the world.

If I had to decide between the two, Macau would probably get my vote as the better of the two places for a casino-related holiday. It's got all the colour and excitement of Vegas inside the massive casino hotels but outside these 'edifices' Macau maintains an old world charm with its mixture of Chinese/Portugese heritage.

However, there's no denying Vegas is a fascinating place - and this video hopefully brings home some of its unique atmospher and colour.

Riding the CityCat on the Brisbane River

Brisbane's favourite mode of transport, the CityCat ferry plies the Brisbane River from Hamilton (downstream) through the city heart to the University of Queensland at St Lucia (upstream). A Cat arrives approximately every 10 minutes at all stops along the way, providing a seamless and pleasant method of travel which is a big hit with tourists and locals alike.

The complete one way journey takes approximately one hour.

We rode the CityCat from Bretts Wharf, Hamilton to the city and beyond on a recent weekend, capturing many of the passing Brisbane landmarks on video. This is definitely the best way to see my home town!

Venice Italy 2008

I filmed this video on my most recent trip to one of my favourite cities, Venice. It explores the colour and spectacle of this canal-ridden haven which is slowly sinking into the massive lagoon. Most of the scenes are shot whilst wandering around town, on oboard one of the canal ferries but it also includes a demo of the traditional craft of glassblowing on Murano island. There is also a visit to Lido, where all good Venetians (and many visitors) enjoy their beach breaks. Click on the play arrow and 'enjoy your trip'!

Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway.

We take a ride on the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway running for 7 miles on the Devon coast in south England. After leaving the train we cross the River Dart for a visit to Dartmouth town centre and then reboard the train for the return journey.

Singapore revisited 2009

In this travel video we visit Clarkes Quay precinct at nighttime, Singapore's National Orchid Garden, Sentosa Island and finally enjoy a Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel. These scenes were shot during a two night stopover in Singapore (enroute to Europe). We stayed at Peninsula Excelsior Hotel, which is centrally located in Singapore's attractions.
